Air-emissions software for Kazakhstan · Pilot

From emission sources
to results
you can review.

Organize facility data, calculate emissions with supported methods, explore screening maps, and prepare reports with the inputs and assumptions behind the results.

Built for environmental professionals working with Kazakhstan's calculation methods and regulatory references. Illustrative project data; screening results are not a regulatory compliance determination.

Air

Air in the cities now

Air quality index (AQI) from the latest measurements in each city, updated every hour.

GeoMeteo

Understand the assessment before you run it.

Before a calculation, EcoEsep shows a receipt of what has been prepared: which sources are included, which corrections are grouped together, and which inputs are still missing.

  • a source-by-pollutant matrix with a size-bounded calculation batch;
  • receptors (the points where concentration is evaluated) carry a data-freshness label;
  • a suggested sanitary protection zone (SZZ) requires explicit acceptance — never applied automatically;
  • available outputs depend on the selected model and assessment basis.
Model
Gaussian plume · advisory model
Result
Advisory concentration contours — a screening, not a compliance determination
Status
Illustrative data · not a compliance conclusion

How it works

One project, four clear steps.

At every step you can see what is ready, which basis is used, and what to do next. The screens below show the same demonstration project — an illustrative boiler house. Built for a facility ecologist, a consultant, and a reviewing expert.

01

Set up the project

Add the facility, equipment and emission sources.

02

Calculate emissions

Choose a supported method and complete guided inputs with units and validation.

03

Explore the results

Review calculations, assessment scope, screening maps and limitations.

04

Prepare the report

Review outstanding items and generate a draft for professional review.

Pilot version

What works today.

Available in the pilot

  • project, facility and source setup; step-by-step calculations with supported methods;
  • project readiness checks and draft DOCX reports;
  • public catalogs: calculation methods, pollutants, PDK limits, official documents, industry BAT reference documents;
  • screening maps and assessment preparation inside a project (GeoMeteo); preliminary screening of a future site and observation history for a place;
  • public air views — Air (what is around you now), Cities (city air analysis) and EcoSite (site screening); the oversight console is available to authorized users.

Beta

  • the environmental Atlas — open layers as sources become available.

In development

  • analysis of unusual environmental situations;
  • input helper and review assistant.

One project, start to finish

Make the calculation easier to check.

Inspect formulas, input units and source references for supported methods. Calculated results stay separate from measured values, assumptions and missing information.

Formula
Variables, units, and calculation order with explanations
Basis
Document, revision, page, table, and row
Limit
Pollutant, limit type, averaging period, unit, jurisdiction, and review status

Calculation chain: equipment/process → method → pollutant → limit (PDK/OBUV) → document. 78 methods and 75 pollutants — from live registries.

The project interview

One clear question at a time.

The selected method determines the questions, units, permitted values, and validation rules. For manual values EcoEsep shows the format and an example; for table values it shows the source table, row, and selected option. When an input changes, the dependent calculation is marked as needing an update.

Input Coach (in development) will explain the question, suggest where the information can be found, and give examples. It never changes project data without user confirmation — the guided calculation works fully without it.

Check before you export

See what is ready and what needs attention.

Project readiness inside EcoEsep is four questions:

  • Readiness — missing required data and unconfirmed values;
  • Basis — incompatible units and inconsistent limits;
  • Currentness — stale results and missing documents;
  • Gaps — method limitations and items requiring an expert decision.

After the check, EcoEsep generates a DOCX report: the methods and formulas behind the results, regulatory references, screening maps, assumptions and limitations — for supported methods. Resolve identified issues before treating the report as final; professional review is required.

Check — report review is a separate tool: it inspects an uploaded report against supported comparisons and shows findings, apart from project readiness; neither is a mandatory stage of the other.

Review Assistant (in development) will find gaps, compare related records, and explain why an item matters. It does not approve methods, does not confirm regulatory compliance, and does not replace expert review.

Why EcoEsep

Four principles everything is built on

Honest about data

A measurement, a model, a satellite, a limit and an estimate are never blended into one number. Missing data is a status, never a zero.

Traceable

From a result to the method, the document and the input data, for supported methods.

Versioned

Limits, documents and calculations keep their version and date context.

Understandable

The system turns calculation-method requirements into step-by-step questions.

About

Environmental calculations should be understandable and verifiable.

EcoEsep connects environmental domain knowledge with a guided software workflow: air-emissions calculations, regulatory references, screening maps and reporting for Kazakhstan. The project focuses on traceable calculations, clear missing-data states and practical review tools.

The platform helps organize the work and preserve the basis of every result. It does not replace professional judgment: method applicability, input quality and regulatory requirements must be checked for each project.

Create a project and add a source — EcoEsep suggests the available methods and the next step.
